Our spaces are not only places to discover yarns, needles and tools. They are also places to learn, meet and share experiences around knitting, crochet and textile crafts.
Throughout the year, Budetex hosts in-person workshops, special classes, gatherings and events at our spaces in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
These activities bring together makers, teachers, designers and members of our community to explore techniques, materials, tools and new ways of creating.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
We believe that understanding materials and tools expands the possibilities of making.
Workshops and events allow us to go beyond the product itself: comparing materials, exploring techniques, understanding different systems and discovering how fibers and tools behave in practice.
This exchange of knowledge is an important part of the way we understand Budetex.
COMMUNITY
Knitting and crochet are individual practices, but they also have a long tradition of bringing people together.
Our workshops, gatherings and events create opportunities for people with different levels of experience to meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another.
We also collaborate with teachers, designers, independent yarn producers and other textile projects through special activities and events held throughout the year.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Budetex, we do not see knitting simply as a manual activity or as a commercial category.
We understand it as a material culture: a relationship between fiber, tools, knowledge, time and people.
That is why sharing knowledge is as important to us as selecting, developing and distributing good products.
